Founded in 1987, PYP has grown into one of the region’s most trusted support networks for young people experiencing homelessness and instability.

Project Overview
This project involved the full renovation of four bathrooms within an active youth shelter facility. The goal was to modernize aging infrastructure, improve durability, and create clean, functional spaces designed for long-term performance with minimal maintenance.
Scope of Work
The project included a complete transformation of each bathroom:
Demolition & Preparation
- Removal of all existing fixtures, finishes, and accessories
- Disposal of materials at approved facilities
- Replacement of any damaged or moisture-affected drywall
Plumbing Upgrades
- New rough-ins for shower systems, toilets, and vanities
- Installation of updated shut-off valves and drainage systems
Mechanical & Electrical
- Installation of moisture-sensing exhaust fans with proper venting
- Upgraded lighting throughout each bathroom
Fixture Installation
- 5′ acrylic shower bases with durable surrounds
- Commercial-grade Gerber Viper toilets (comfort height, elongated)
- New vanities with matching fixtures
Interior Finishes
- Moisture-resistant drywall repairs and preparation
- Subfloor leveling and finishing
- Durable glue-down vinyl flooring
- FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Panels) wall systems for maximum durability and easy maintenance
- Acrylic shower wall panels
- High-moisture ceiling paint
- Installation of mirrors and accessories (towel bars, holders, etc.)
Finalization
- Full site cleanup and debris removal
- Professional post-construction cleaning
